Here are some examples. Furthermore this post and my last post in this thread are also attempts to initiate a more civil level of dialogue, "a peace offering". In two of the following posts I am giving you credit where I thought at least some was due, though in both cases it was responding to a post that was directly insulting:

"Thank you for actually qualifying yourself on the issue, it does make your opinion mildly more credible."

"You are absolutely right about the alert: bad message button. I apologize, I thought I WAS simply voting to agree or disagree with the message, not reporting you to a moderator. Thank you for informing me otherwise."

"That is an interesting article about Solyndra,"

"...note that I did not "vote" down all of your messages, nor do I intend to have a knee jerk reaction to voting all your messages down."
