I wanted to mention that Modified Citrus Pectin is excellent at removing lead and other metals. It's also helpful with leukemia. lef has an article on it which can be found here:

I've been taking that to get rid of lead/cadmium and then when I did the cilantro recipe found elsewhere on cz, it really moved some mercury right out.
