I am doing the natural/organic diet, and I read Dr Christopher's Mucusless diet program. I am following it, but I wanted to know why bread is on the list. I like bread a lot, and although I have basically given up red meat(I still eat organic chicken and fish sometimes), dairy, eggs, sugar, etc. it is very hard for me to stop eating bread. It is filling, and makes the best sandwiches.
I will eventually give it up, if it's that mucus forming, but is there any other substitute for it?
