Hi~

I would recommend that you read over warthog's messages:

Her baby was diagnosed hypothyroid and the last we heard the babe was on synthroid....or levothyroxine, I'm not sure which and I don't have the time to go over the posts at the moment.

Was her baby diagnosed hypo because of mom's high-dosing? Was baby diagnosed hypo because of inaccurate testing methods? Was her baby diagnosed hypo because of mom's possible subclinical hypothyroidism?

It doesn't matter, in the U.S. at least. Congenital hypothyroidism CAN be a very serious condition and it's a condition that doctors are bound to treat according to today's standards. Today's standards are synthroid.

We don't know, and I don't think that mom will ever know. And we have not had an update for a year now.

Baby was always happy and healthy according to reports given, BTW,...

I, personally, would not high-dose during pregnancy. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it...
