According to the io-docs the average daily Iodine intake for the Japanese is around 12.5 mg, not 25. Zedtava's post below, though, has a most informative link on actual Iodine consumption by the Japanese...

It really does not matter what I would consider to be a high dose, T. My point in posting as I did is to address a possible outcome of high-dosing during pregnancy, and yes, 25mg Iodine is an exceedingly high dose according to current medical standards. I agree with you in that thread, I agree with V, I agree with me, hell, I agree with everyone.

I still believe that warthog's baby had transient hypo brought on by mom's iodine consumption, and I know that her baby was healthy and happy.
