I have tried the "leave the lips alone treatment" and i found it doesn t work for me, because the inner part of the lips grows more keratin than in the outer part.
This creates a pushing effect that is unconfortable and i believe that it was not helping by creating tension on the lips.
Over the last couple of months i have tried something similiar to your treatment with steam.
I use a little recipient with water where i put my finger to wet it, and then i touch slitly my lips to wet them. it feels nice.
Then i have "improved" my peeling techniques since i don t like to let the skin build up:
- i never peel the skin outwards, always inwards so as not to cause more damage/stimulation to the healthy part of my lips.
- so, i need to create a "lifting area" from where i can leave the outward skin alone.
So far there are certain areas where the peeling area was replaced for normal skin by 2mm or 3mm. but other areas are more relapsing...
