OMFG, how did I miss this post?!!! This is exactly what happened to me!!! I started New Rules of Lifting for Women, lifting heavy weights, wanted to shrink my BF%, and jacked up my protein intake with whey powders, gelatin, meats/cheeses, eggs, low-fat, low-carb! Within a month I was having crazyass constipation and rolling, rumbling, bloating gassyness in my tummy! It was high protein for you guys too?! Nobody was meant to snarf down 1.5-2g protein per lb of bodyweight, that is BS through and through.
I was doing better on an 80% clean diet and running 25+ miles a week.
Wish I never would have changed my diet. It's going to take me all summer to heal - IF I don't fall off the wagon again like I did this weekend :'(
