Update - success

This is a follow up to my herbal success story recovering from ..... not sure exactly but something involving bronchitis, sore throat, sinus flareup ear/body aches, found here -

The same day there was a separate thread on smoking that was replied to by MOG, found here -

I'm fairly convinced that being a acid-eater, and smoker (of commercial cigs) both contributed to the lingering effects of this illness, especially the heavy but tight bronchial congestion that lingered long after all other symptoms were coquered, which to repeat, has been my history with this kind of illness most of my life. I found the smoking thread quite interesting since I've unsuccessfully tried various methods for quitting over the years. The advice of MOG made a lot of sense to me - how to first wean and withdraw from from the numerous additives and poisons (the ones the large corp cig manufacturers include as a means to keep smokers hooked, including the cig papers that are dipped in a light dose of heroin) by switching to an organic brand of tobacco and roll-your-own cigs, before secondly attempting to wean oneself and withdraw from the tobacco itself . Last week I bought a pouch of such tobacco to experiment. The lung congestion had still been lingering despite my continued use of daily morning doses of Air Restore; side note - after several weeks of steady dosing, the AR never really "kicked in" to produce significant expulsion of lung phlegm.

Yesterday was the first day of smoking no commercial cigs in favor of hand-rolled. Late today I noticed that the lung congestion is gone! Everyone is free to make of this what they will, some may see this as random coincidence. In the past few years I've been frequenting forums where I've learned about the notion that in general there really is no such thing as things random coinciding with respect to how we normally use this expression. There is always a reason why things co-incide, but because the reason is often not known or obvious to us, this leads us to believe the things coincided purely at randomly, but........

Target date to give up the cigs in earnest has tentatively been set for my forthcoming birthday.
