The way I understand it, the test requires you to drink a syrup of some kind, fructo-oligosaccharides perhaps? If you have SIBO, your SI would produce methane and/or other gasses that would indicate your problem.

If you can digest it properly with no gasses in your breath, you ace it & move on...

Your not eating sugars/carbs/fruit doesn't have any bearing on the outcome of the test, I don't think.
