Those Who Believe the Bible is the Only Book.
The Bible does have much truth within it, but the Bible is a collection of many different writings by many different individuals who held portions of the truth. The works of the Vedic writers, the works of certain Sanskrit writers, the works of certain religious groups all over the world also contain much truth. It is not only foolish, but also very petty and disillusioning for an individual to think that by simply reading one book because it has been stated as being THE book that the individual has the only truth.
The Bible itself is full of threats and curses, written by those priests who cursed those who might change their writing; curses, threats and promises: "Do what I say and you shall be rewarded. Fail in what I say and you shall be damned forever!" This is not the will of a Divine Being even though it claims to be from a Divine Source.
Anyone with the slightest intelligence can see there is trickery involved in certain Biblical teachings. There is also great wisdom in certain Biblical teachings and it is not unnecessary to discard the entire work as unworthy, nor is it necessary to accept the entire work as being the only source of divine information.
Individuals who cannot move beyond their own limitations, cannot take their nose out of one book, and become so hypnotized by their own belief system; these individuals are simply caught on a rung of a ladder and are not progressing, even though they may look around at others and point the finger of condemnation, still they have not learned the truth for the truth is in constant change, the truth is in constant expression.
