Re: Why is my colloidal silver plating glass when I make it?

Hi ino,

Thanks for the tip. I have noticed that heating water had an impact on conductivity(which helps). Though in my case, I wasn't heating to push things along, but rather where I am trying to raise the metallic to ionic silver ratio in my final solution. That being said, I'm going to run a few simple trials to see if I can't narrow down the cause for plating. Which seems linked to heat, though may also be the result of a reduction process(heat reducing oxides to metallic silver). And one way to confirm this might be found by introducing a reducing agent to a room temp. process. At which point, I should lead to plating as well if that hypothesis holds any water.

I'll post my results here when I get more data.
