Re: surgery scheduled

Originally they were talking about removing the whole lip and replacing it with the inside of my mouth which has been done before, but you are right now they are saying that it would dry out badly and I would have worse problems than I do now. Now they are saying they would disect or cut out the worst of it and I am hoping that would help most of the severe dryness and pain, I am thinking that I would still have the problem, but just not as bad, Alot of the time people tell me they can't tell that I have a problem, I do not get crusts that turn yellow and come off, my lips are swollen and red and I can see where the eczema is which EC is eczema just so everyone knows, not Psoriasis or fungus or viruses, but you can get secondary infection like I had a bacterial infection. Anyhow the bottom half of my lip is somewhat normal, so they are going to remove the part toward my mouth and probably as much as they can, but I am going to talk to them first to see how much if any they think this will help, I am extremely miserable and this is my last hope as I have seriously tried everything and 2 derms have given up on me and one of them referred me for surgery. Also my lips peel constantly from the inside like 3-4 times daily and they are the consistancy of plastic no matter what I do. They are so bad at times that I cannot touch them and I just have to lay down and try to sleep to make the burning pain go away.
