my GI doctor said the liver itself does not cause pain. He never did find out what was causing mine.. He also said I wasnt jaundiced because my bilrubin numbers were not elevated. I said "put out your hand" to show him that clearly by comparison I was. He said I was yellow, but not jaundiced. Whatever that means. Anyhow, I have added some raw liver to my diet, not much, like 2 oz. a day, and the next morning my poop was dark brown and well formed. Not all the time, but it has helped me some. I am still battling what I now believe to be fatty liver, after years of alcohol and supplements, but the raw liver is just a suggestion. It is high in A, which can cause liver damage, but small amounts should not hurt.
