Yeah it makes sense.

But it does kind of worry me that you actually had cold sores, because most of us dont. So im wondering if this medication would work for us.

Did your doctor mention whether a cold sore ALWAYS presents itself in cases like this?

Anyways, Ill talk with my doctor and see what he thinks and see if there are any tests we can run. But I will probably try it regardless.
