I just fill up the med cup to the max level(2ml?) of 20PPM IS, ionic silver and watch for a herx reaction, if you get one reduce the dose and start again and work up. If there is a heavy infection/virus there will be a a large herx, my wife had to use the smaller dose for 2 days then went to full dose.
