My guess is that the kelp and painting didnt have enough Iodine to cause herx / detox.
If still having low temp my guess is that the Iodine in those two isnt enough to get the temp up.

When you took the iodoral you started the detox; yes it may take months, but the more Iodine you take, the less time used on detox.

100 mg of Lugols / Iodoral, daily; it is a minimum for quick healing of hypo T IMO.
I took the slow route with kelp, then low dosage of lugols, some "detoxified iodine" for over half a year before I decided to hit the dosage hard. Then the detox, 2-3 months; it was hard, very hard. But after that mostly sunshine.

I had a nearly spotless diet; but somehow it doesnt help if one lack some important elements, like iodine and others.

Load in with salt and vit C in the form of ascorbic acid.
