Re: Please Help Natway-Million Dollar Question

I'm not a big fan of too much vinegar and I wouldn't compare that with juice fasting. Anything that makes your body quiver after ingesting it shouldn't be taken in large amounts in my opinion.

Vinegar is diluted acetic acid, commonly known to be a poison in its pure form. Acetic acid stimulates the thyroid gland to pull phosphorous from the adrenal glands to negate the effects of acetic acid in the system. Depleted phosphorous results in impaired function of the adrenal glands and thus the entire endocrine system. The outcome of all this can include Body Odor , pains in the heart, rapid pulse, increased mucous production, and headaches. Repetitive use will also result in hardening of the liver.

You'll have to listen to a licensed practitioner of course, but I'm not sure how much I buy that juice fasting would be too quick to detoxify. Never heard anybody getting into serious trouble from that other than some very unpleasant detox symptoms for a couple days.

I had severe hypoglycemic symptoms that all my practitioners said eat more protein and felt like I had to every 2-3 hrs or drop to the floor from weakness, but that turned out to be the very cause of my problem and started juice fasting the next day after learning that and a couple of days later all those symptoms went away after years having them!

This guy is the expert on juice fasting for detox so might want to check him out and get a hold of him to ask if safe for you to go ahead and start juicing:

I couldn't tolerate much fruit or carbs when I was suffering on my high-protein/low-carb diet, but that kind of diet is also very high in fat, regardless if it's the "good fats" or not. Now I'm eating pretty much the exact opposite, high-carb/low-fat, and now I can eat as much fruit and good carbs as I want without any kind of negative symptoms! I've been gravitating more to high-raw and high-fruit, which is known as the 80-10-10 diet (80% carbs, 10% protein, 10% fats) and is basically fruitarian consisting of eating around 70-85% fruit, 15-25% tender greens & non-sweet fruits (bell peppers, celery, cucumber, etc.), 1-5% overt fats (nuts, seeds, avocado, olives) and other types of vegetables that are little harder to digest raw, like carrots, broccoli, etc.

Some people here will complain about a diet like that, saying they tried being vegan or raw and it failed them, but when I pressed them on how they were eating that way, they all, whether they want to admit it or not, were simply not eating enough and not getting enough calories. No diet works long-term if you calorie restrict. They were probably eating too many fats (nuts, seeds, avocados, nut butters, oils, etc) too and those two things are the two biggest mistakes on a high-carb/low-fat diet.

In the meantime, the cooked high-carb/low-fat diet I recommend is "Starch Solution" by Dr. John McDougall. You might want to immediately start eating that way before you decide whether to start juice fasting or eat more raw. Start increase your grains and tubers (potatoes), greatly cut down your overt fats and oils, and minimize your animal products which are both too high in protein and fat to eat a lot of. It's basically the Pyramid Diet with eating even less meats and fats. I eat the Starch Solution way when I run low on fruit and have to eat something cooked to get my calories.

And be sure to cut way down on the sodium! I think that one of people's biggest problems that they don't realize and why raw foodist say is a hidden problem with cooked foods because cooked foods are usually bland and have to add a lot of salt or condiments that are either high in sodium, sugar, or fats to make it taste good.

Hope you find this all helpful.
