Hypothyrodism (T3) iron connection.

Hi all.

I am struggling with few remaining AF symptoms. They look like those present in Hypothyroidism. I was checking various forums for T3 supplement. This is what i found:

http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/dosing.htm

I have exactly what the authors mention i.e. high ferritin, low serum iron 9 (9-30) low normal saturation. High ferritin is typical with hypothyroidism.

One of Naturopath suggested i would give blood to reduce ferritin level. Probably, I would crawl out of the blood clinic because this would also reduce iron level.

According to the authors, the iron is necessary for T3 delivery. Without iron adverse effect happen if T3 is supplemented.

Dr. Lam does not know about this. He said that low iron is good.

I will go check my serum iron and saturation and supplement if those are low.

Klauss.
