I went to my local clinic, they would not look at the samples. They sent me to the only local hospital, for blood and stool testing. The blood test result came back two days later- red count (slightly low, no concern) The stool sample was sent off to a lab, and didn't come back for over three weeks. Lab said they were not sure if the sample was still good enough to test, then decided it was, and found nothing. They set me an appointment with a parasite specialist, but it would be 10 weeks away. I bought some otc ParaGone, at a drug emporium (I was so sick, I thought I was dying, and was willing to try anything) I took it for a month, and bought another. Found some worms in my stool, and my face cleared up some. I went to my specialist appointment. My face was almost clear at that time. I told the doctor my situation, and he said my symptoms were that of something from only third world countries, and offered psychiatric evaluation. That was Feb.14 2013. I took a bottle of the varmints in alcohol, to my local county extension office, and the guy never opened the bottle. He said I had a fungus gnat problem, and said "they are really bad this time of year...plug your drains, and they will eventually go away. I have a container in my freezer literally stuffed full of "tape specimens"...I burned the first container when it got full. These things are coming out of my eyebrows, eyelids, scalp, and face. Some are snow white, but most are reddish brown. My eyesight is getting really bad, eyes are very red, swollen, and they hurt. Sores are visible in my eyebrows, where they come out. I can feel them hit my eyeballs (coming or going?) I have a cyst on my left shoulder blade, and it's painful at times. I feel movement in it in the evening. My problem is much worse at night. (about sundown) The only way I can see them is with a magnifier. In the evening, I start feeling flu-like, and they start moving. I sit down w/magnifier, tape, and watch, as my face gets flush, then red bumps appear, then a burning itch at the sites where they emerge. (eyes, eyebrows, and corners of my mouth and scalp.) I am starting to get brain fog, and I feel like I'm losing the battle. I lost my job because of this, I have no insurance, and I don't have anywhere else to turn.
