Chemical water...yum!

A close relative of mine is a truck-driver. Most of his deliveries are for chemicals, whether it's nail polish, lotion, shaving cream, etc. Today, one of his loads were chemicals for water treatment. That is, 42,820#'s, of chemicals being shipped off to Toronto, CA, for people to drink!!! When he has to go pick up the tank at the plants, he has to wear all kinds of protective gear and clothing because they're so toxic. I wanted to know what the stuff was, so he gave me a sheet from the chemical company with all kinds of #'s and codes that not an average person could decipher. Here's what I found this stuff is:

CAS# 124-04-9 Hexanedioic acid
CAS# 64742-47-8 DISTILLATES, PETROLEUM, HYDROTREATED LIGHT
CAS# 69418-26-4 Ethanaminium, N,N,N-trimethyl-2-[(1-oxo-2-propenyl)oxy]-, chloride, polymer with 2-propenamide
CAS# 77-92-9 1,2,3-Propanetricarboxylic acid, 2-hydroxy-
CAS# 84133-50-6 Alcohols, C12-14-secondary, ethoxylated

I googled each chemical and here are some links:

Ever wonder what citric acid was? Sounds natural right-like from an orange? Citric acid is synonomous with CAS# 77-92-9, according to chemical manufacturers, and it is also imported from China. I just discovered this by typing the #'s in and googling them.

I guess if you were looking for a reason to buy a water distiller, I just gave you one, especially if you live in the TO area.
