 Hi tay,

Sorry for late feedback - here are my thoughts:

"I'm wondering if it's possible that a bacteria such as streptococcus as found on my stool sample could be in the small bowel due to a lack of lactobacillus ( which is there in part to keep such bacteria from overgrowing ) after taking so many antibiotics and this in turn has caused inflammation , malabsoprtion and the various other symptoms I'm suffering from ?"

-- i believe its possible . many times in SIBO translocation in other parts of GI is possible. Hpilory can (by reflux) be found even in the sinuses. one of CZ users reported E.coli in the nose (was tested)...I was tested and found Enterobacter in the throat...so its possible

"If this was the case surely lowering the population of Strep and the other bad bacteria present either with regular or natural antibiotics and they repopulating with beneficial bacteria should help ?. I am also deficient in vitamin D which could points towards absorption problems in the small bowel. -

yeah . the "protocol" should include antibiotic (i would choose natural one) but also D3 and B12 plus enhance digestion. I remember asking you about if you get help with enzymes "correcting nutrient deficiencies (particularly B12 and fat-soluble vitamins), and maximizing adequate digestion to avoid overfeeding the microbes are prime concerns for RDs working with clients with SIBO"

"I've tried high dose Allicin , matula herbal formula , mastic gum , zinc , manuka honey , various probiotics and many other products and supplements. This is what makes me tempted to try antibiotics , I feel like all these natural products just aren't cutting it."

IMO - "ive read somewhere :))))" mastic gum NOK for SIBO , manyka honey the same if your bacteria feed on carbs and you should look the label of the probiotics. Try the ones i have recommended and see if any difference. Kirkman labs is around 20 dollars. If you think a medium wage here is ~ 4-500 $ .....I had to buy them anyway...

I am more prone to that "methane-producing microbes are commonly associated with constipation." but was not able yet to find the other culprit exept Hpilory and Giardia and Candida. I feel there is another bacteria overgrowth there. But I cant have BM on my own...
