Re: CBS/MTHFR Mutations, mercury chelation, Leaky Gut, Food allergies, Weston A Price, how do you supplement for these?
You're welcome brooklynlady....it sounds like you would learn more from the folks at phoenixrising forum:
http://forums.phoenixrising.me/index.php
and the gene testing section of their forum:
http://forums.phoenixrising.me/index.php?forums/genetic-testing-and-snps.12/
Many on there focus on the methylation cycles (urea, neurotransmitter, folate, methionine, & transulfuration cycles specifically - they work together) in trying to nutritionally help to 'bypass' any mutations to get the cycles working better to enable a better detox response.
You can also research your conditions and find the genes linked to such conditions - through which you can learn about the enzymes which are not working in that gene, and therefore supplement to help the deficit, or avoid certain things to prevent that gene from working too fast, as sometimes mutations can indicate an over-working gene. Most of the time the gene/enzyme function is impaired but up-regulated mutations are equally as problematic...like the CBS gene.
Of interest might be Dr Amy Yasko's free book on her website:
"Autism:Pathways to recovery" - Through her initial work with autistic children and their gene testing revealing methylation pathway issues, which she also found in many with 'fatigue' based conditions. Explains what many of the genes in the cycles i listed above do:

Wishing you much luck and healing in return :-)
