Re: Help on SSKI dosage please for Hypothyroidism
I am very approx in my measures, thats why I take it every other day. The few times I counted mg of iodine, it was twice as much as I thought I was taking :)
Also I dont need it every day anymore.
" but everyone says that's because I'm not on the right dose yet"
-haha, thats what all the doctors say, to all on thyroid meds; it is a never ending rollercaster of up and downs.
The kidney pain; yes I would add boron as it make you retain the needed magnesium; good for kidneys. Could also be bromide; a call for more salt / chloride.
If you dont respond to thyroid meds, I would rethink the whole thing. I once set a timeline to myself; if I am not better within this year, I will bite the dust and see my doc. That was when I decided to up the iodine; like a last resort. Took three months, and I never saw back after that.
