Re: Best Home Remedies to Stop Snoring

"Apnea is always a concern for snorers too."

Snoring is apnea.

"I always underscore the importance of considering a sleep study when snoring is enough of an issue to be a disruption in the home."

A sleep study is an excellent diagnosis for apnea.  You will be observed during your entire sleep cycle and a mask will determine your best oxygen level.  You will probably have two of them before selection of a CPAP is made.  Insurance is almost essential because my costs for each night were close to $3,000 (one night only) and add to that my CPAP device was $2,000 of which insurance only paid about $1,200.

There's no way that I though I'd be able to sleep with observation and over 20 wires hooked on to me but I had the best sleeps during the studies that I've had in years.

I've been wearing a CPAP for about three years and it has literally saved my life because without one you can stop breathing - a common side effect to apnea.
