Whats more I observed something last night that had never really clicked before. My girlfriend made a lovely spag bol last night full of rich mince as you may have guessed. I was hungry an hour later. You know the same kind of hunger that you may get after an indian or chinese meal out (some blame MSG). Anyway the point being last week I ate only rice, vedgetables and fruit with good fats (butter, olive oil). Guess what - no hunger pangs and no hypoglycemic episodes in the night from lack of protein. (Im not dismissing the need for protein which is very important for us all - I eat mostly eggs, goats cheese, sometimes chicken.) But that week I felt great, didnt suffer adrenal symptoms (to be fair these are better controlled in recent years) and I think my liver and digestive system really appreciated it.
So I think the toxic hunger theory may be on the right lines. I have noticed the more I eat of heavy meat based foods the more I feel hungry. (I dont think this can be because of my stomach growing because Im not talking eating in excess nor am I overweight).
