Re: Ascaris in stool while on Vermox - help!
Just my gp, instead of just taking the one pill usually prescribed for pin worms I decided I am taking two for three days. I know, to be fair, I got annoyed that same evening of being in constant pain and took liquid paraffin as well, and just decided to brave whatever happens... felt like hell yesterday, day after first administration, probably spent 5 hours in the toilet altogether. Already my stomach feels much better though.
Could you elaborate? I am (or at least I thought I am) much healthier than most of my friends and people my age (19), do not drink and when I do I will only have a glass of wine with a meal or a beer; run 30 miles a week; took part in a marathon last year and intending in partaking this year. However, after last year's marathon, I did quite possibly the stupidest thingand rather than laying off, I continued to run several miles a week and really push myself... This resulted in seriously lowered immunity which resulted in skin problems, then bronchitis and weakness etc... I'm thinkin I probably had
parasites anyway as we've always had pets and it's been a while since I dewormed, but this drop in immunity must have been what let them take over so much.
An example of my diet would be (today a an example):
Breakfat
1 banana
2 slices of fruit loaf bread
Wholegrain porridge with pumpkin seeds and low fat probiotic greek yoghurt
Snack
1 toblerone bar
1 apple
some raw broccoli
Late Lunch
Spelt wholegrain pasta (small serving) with red pepper pesto and two raw crushed garlic cloves
Green tea
Strong coffee
(+ 2 liters of water minimum)
If I feel hungry later I'll just have a chicken breast with some bean sprouts or something.
Also I don't usually eat chocolate bars but after I didn't feel well enough to eat anything yesterday I wanted to treat myself.
I'm worried now that if I don't act on this serious warning sign, I might not properly recover : ( My family are telling me to calm down, that clearing of the
parasites is good news... And I know that, but honestly I felt so horrendous the past few months, weak, tired, moody, weird food cravings and my everyday happiness and even fitness started to suffer. I just want to know how to fight back and don't let these buggers get the best of me again. I'm running the marathon in 4 months and need to be in top peak condition. Could I please humbly ask you for advice? Any herbal supplements or dietary guidance (etc)? God bless.
