Re: Ascaris in stool while on Vermox - help!

Glad to hear that this nasty things are out of your body. You have a roundworm infection most likely Ascaris. The Ascaris might be already in your lungs (see their cycle). No vermox/mebendazole only attack GI tract. You need something heavy like albendazole (with fatty meals) protocol in order to stand any chance to clear them out of your lungs (see ICU protocol for systemic roundworm infection on this forum). Diet and exercise won't change anything with parasites... Ppl don't seem to understand our immune system and how parasites fool it... Diet and exercise might just reduce inflammation from the parasite infection (like C-reactive protein, etc) and boost your immune system (more white blood cells) but it won’t do much in terms of cure. When Ascaris hit the lungs you have an army of eosinophils (specific white blood cells) which come out from your bone marrow (they hunt large parasites) and they start a battle in your lungs just to keep a balance and they keep you alive on the first place in such infections (sometimes they just in a stand by mode since Ascaris release inhibitors/enzymes to protect itself). But your own eosinophils also might damage the lungs long-term in this process just like parasites as they release some heavy chemicals to attack them. So I suggest to hit them hard and ASAP with albendazole protocol for a roundworm systemic infection. It won’t be an easy and a short battle if they already gone systemic. But don’t panic... Also when ascaris is around esp lung area you will have a very high eosinophil blood count (usually it should be around 2.5-5 ‘normal healthy person’) while with ascaris you might have over 15 to 30 and beyond dep on many factors . So the only way to know if you are in the ‘clear’ during this infection is to have a normal eosinophil levels via blood test (eosinophils levels drop when the system is clear). Well it’s a much better indicator than anything else IMO with ascaris. As stool testing is so unreliable. First clear this infection but regarding preventing further infection... Be paranoid about anything (food source, water source, extreme hygiene) so it's not possible.
