Just thought I would add my two cents here. I became suddenly ill in August 2011. Long story short, I turned to NB in November of that year. Made very slow progress. A year later I was only about 30% healed. I had suspected a parasite infection all along. But, it was hard to tell because I was also in major burnout mentally and emotionally due to a very high stress level.

I finally asked my practitioner if we could try something natural for parasites. I started eliminating them about 2 weeks later. The next few months I started to do a lot more research on how to get rid of the buggies living inside me.

What I found to be effective was mebendazole. I took my first round May 2013 and two weeks later my energy really started picking up. I also use Onward's cocktail of herbals.

A couple of things to note about these critters: They can lay thousands of eggs a day. So taking one dose of medication is not going to be all you need if you are heavily infected. They also tend to bury and hide.
Also, your copper and iron levels and ratio have a lot to do with infections. Too little copper and you may easily be overrun with parasites. So, yes, if you can balance these and clean up your digestion with NB you may be able to get rid of parasites. It has been my experience, though, that I was so infected my body just couldn't keep up. I needed meds and NB.

I haven't had a hair test since last July, but I did show a bit of improvement since my first test. Once I got my diet under control and started treating the parasites I really started feeling like I was healing for the first time.

I don't want to say that everyone has infections such as this, but if you find you're not making progress with NB, it may be time to incorporate some therapies to eliminate infections.
