Re: Yogurt

I've read that a lot of probiotic tablets are no good because the bacteria is all dead. There is a test you can do by emptying 1 tablet in a small amount of milk, leaving at room temperature for around 10 hours and seeing whether the milk starts to curdle. I'm considering making sauerkraut which, if unpasteurised, is packed with probiotics and is also meant to be great for flushing impurities out of the liver. I'm scared, though of eating cabbage which is sulphurous. Has anybody out there got any experiences?
