imuran is well tolerated longterm for some people i.e5-10 years iv read of people even longer.... i do like that theory about the lips healing and returning to normal and yes its very possible.. but if ec is immune related i.e auto-immune response most of the time the disease needs to be treated to be keeped under control i guess you would have to wait a few months after stopping the drug to see if it returns! fingers crossed it doesn't!
