In my case, still fighting against this s... for 17 years now.
During summer season, it looks better, some lips areas seem to be healed, but as soon as cold weather comes back, the crust seams to grow faster and bigger.
Always these white liquid stuff that forms crusts when it dries. You can see it when you wake up.
Personnaly I suffer mainly from the top lip - center part - which is still rather severly damaged especially when the crust is removed manually (try to avoid this as much as possible)
I'm currently trying L-LYSINE and VITAMIN D but at this point (5 days try period) there is no improvement at all with these products.
Some doctors have put a name on this condition. The exfoliative cheilitis seems to be a consequence of SJOGREN SYNDROM (one of the criteria is a labial biopsy that has been carried out and tested positive in my case)
