I also had a spot in my throat I went to EMT'S dozens of them. I had my problem for 45 years. They would scope and tell me it was just a red spot. It would get infected and would cause a very painful, severe throat infection. It would last about a week. I would then have bronchitis for a few months. Antibiotics would help but just for a short time. I would have this sickness pretty much continuously. I found taking oil of Oregano 1 capsule per day helped the spot in my throat. It didn't help the problem with mucus in the back of my throat but it did stop the severe throat tonsil infections I was having. Coconut oil has stopped the excessive mucus in my throat.
