I have heard that doctors say"whatever you are doing is working so keep doing it." when faced with an alternative treatment that works. They are not, in the USA at least, (I am in Australia, and it is a bit different.) allowed to endorse any treatments other than surgery, radiation, and chemo. LEGALLY!
