Has anyone dealt with a family member having Dysbiosis as well?

I can't figure out what to do. My fiance and I have an overgrowth of bad bacteria in our stomachs. We have taken Cipro, and then Xifaxan to treat it. We felt better while on the Antibiotics , but when we finished them got sick again.

We both had our stool tested to see if we were still infected and it came back with a 4+ of Proteus and Citrobacter. When we had our stool tested before we took the Antibiotics , it showed an overgrowth of Proteus but citrobacter didn't appear in the test at all.

I'm so confused. How can we be infected with something new now? We have been sick for over a year and can't figure out how to treat this. We are taking probiotics, vitamin c and grapefruit seed extract to deal with this naturally, but we still feel sick.

Does anyone know if dybiosis is contagious? Has anyone dealt with a family member having this as well?
