Before taking a journey to the land of the tormented illminded souls, please dont stop to look for "supported" medical answers.
Hair follicle disorders and diseases is what you should be looking into. See what they look like and how they can alter the hairs into weird alien looking fibres.
If hairs are caught growing in the skin this means trouble. Infections /swellings /itching / moving hairs / feels like bugs crawl on the skin etc etc
Ingrown hairs might react on light causing them to (momentarily) be set free and thus might look like ur hairs are moving on their own / growing extremely fast / disappearing. They might sting you / pin prick you at times.
Trust me it can look all kinds of freaky /spooky / creepy. This does not inmediatly mean it is something freaky / spooky or creepy..
Dont let the people here scare you into believing youve got morgellons. They dont even know if they have it themselves so they sure as hell cant diagnose the condition on others.
Im not debating the existence of morgellons as an illness, but merely trying to warn you for the paranoia headtrip thats unleashed onto you.
While normal answers are still available as possibility, i wouldnt feed myself with anything thats cooking here.
Because nobody seems to realize the danger of the spoken word and how it might cause intense fear and paranoia to people believing they have morgellons while they might not even have the actual symptoms to begin with.
Some people are just easily scared.. "infection" can also spread trough the spoken word.
I hope people try to realize a little bit more that what they say affects others and might just cause damage to some people that have no place here to begin with.
As for you paranoid mom, leave this place be for now, visit your doctor / specialist and let them do their work, look into follicle diseases , because there is always time in the future to go crazy of paranoia when normal options fail.
