I agree. Ultimately it doesn't matter how somebody loses weight. If they can't stick to an appropriate and healthy diet/lifestyle after they lose that helps them keep off the weight, all bets are off. Who cares whether it was fasting, protein, Atkins, 9 hours a day of exercise, fruitarian, it won't matter.
If you can't keep it off, the gains are lost.
For me, there is something about fasting that helps reset my taste buds. It's like a renewal for a lot of people, a "jump start" or a refresh of some kind. Whether part of that is psychological, who knows? But physiologically those changes are happening for a lot of fasters.
