My two cents: there is a difference between equine and human digestive systems which affects how drugs are absorbed relat ed to length of time the drug remains in the digestive system. Also, there is a school of thought that those of us infected with parasites had some defect in our immune systems/intestines which made us more susceptible to the buggers in the first place making them more difficult to get rid of. Our diets differ drastically from horses as well.
As for the fat, the Science shows it greatly increases absorption of Albenza. Taking Prazi with it also increases the absorption. If taking both drugs grapefruit juice would be sufficient to increase absorption. Taken alone, you need the fat with the Albenza. Coconut oil, olive oil, flaxseed oil, sour cream, nuts and peanut butter are good choices rather than all the excess junk in cheeseburgers. Some say the drug Tagamet increases absorption but-it also alters gastric pH which may decrease the effectiveness of Albenza.
If you believe you have strongyloides I would suggest you do not delay your battle against them. It can take years not months to get control over them.
Wishing you luck in your fight.
