I just read some articles about raw potato juice in japan. It has been found to be highly effective (in japan and tcm) for many chronic diseases, including terminal cancer patients. I've been eating regular potatoes lightly steamed lately as they have a lot of vitamin c, vitamin a(esp in gold and other colored potatoes), and Iodine which is concentrated in the skin. I recently have been doing the raw potato and it has helped with energy levels and appetite. Make sure the potato isn't green and take off any sprouts; these things have high amounts of toxic solanin(they otherwise don't have much and are inherently not toxic).
