Iodoral 50 mg = Iodine 20 mg, Iodide 30 mg
Iodoral 12.5 mg = Iodine 5 mg, Iodide 7.5 mg
Lugol's 5% = Iodine 2.5 mg, Iodide 3.75 mg = 6.25 mgs total per drop
Lugol's 2% = Iodine 1.0 mg, Iodide 1. 5 mg = 2.5 mgs total per drop


So if you are taking 300mg a day of iodoral, then you are taking 6 pills = 120 mg of iodine and 180mg of iodide.

I don't know anything about the Hoxsey formula, but you can certainly add more iodide as required. Prior to WWll, doctors routinely precribed up to 1.8 grams of Iodide for severe lung problems.

Iodide & Iodine are different animals. Our body need both for optimal health. So they would not cancel each other out.

Take iodoral caps, it is too hard to titrate to 300mg with Lugols Liquid.
