Re: Diatomaceous Earth (Silica) actually increases the infection rate (spread) of parasites? Two studies

Exactly. I already know, personally, that DE has helped tremendously with my parasite regime. So as far as that goes, I'm already not buying that deductive reasoning that silica = feeds parasites = DE feeding parasites.

I was simply considering whether the study had ANY validity at all, on whether or not even heavy doses of silica would feed parasites.

I'm going to continue taking DE. I know for 100% certain it does all good and no negative in terms of parasite removal. I still am skeptical whether even high doses of silica would feed them. I suppose, however, it's possible. But as you said, it would be a fallacy to assume that comparing high doses of silica absorption is akin to DE feeding parasites, especially considering it isn't even the silica mineral that is the reason people take DE for parasite cleanses in the first place.

Bottom line...if you want an effective parasite removal, take DE. If you believe the other part of the study claiming high doses of silica feeds them, then avoid any extra silica supplements. But again, I'm even skeptical about that part as well. I will continue taking my DE thank you very much.
