Re: My new plan to deal EC. Help is needed .

I'm thinking the same thing. I don't think there's something wrong on the inside (in my case at least) My lips started to go bad when I first chew the skin off & then repeated it every time new skin started to form. I'm thinking this might just be "wound" where the lips create a protective barrier (crust) to protect to regeneration process of the skin cells. But because of the repeated trauma, the process takes a whole lot longer than a normal wound to heal. It's the only theory that makes sense in my case.
In my previous post about Bepanthen, I said it didn't help much. I think I was wrong. It looks like there's some NEW skin on the lower middle part of my bottom lip. The skin is very thin & if you look closely, you can see lines. It's probably only the first of the three layers of skin that's needed. The reason I didn't see improvement, was that I didn't cover my lips in the ointment at ALL TIMES. That means waking up in the middle of night & apply ointment. That's key. The part where the new skin grew was covered in the ointment most of the time.
It's a fact that a wound kept moist heals faster than a wound kept dry any the lips start to crust only if they're kept dry. If you keep the lips moist, no crusts will form. I think moist healing might be our best bet.
I said I was gonna go out in public but right now that's not possible since I have to keep applying the ointment like ever hour.
I hope this makes sense.
