Totally agreed! A big batch of chicken soup with veggies in it (I love bok choy in mine) is a great way to save time and energy on future meals. A bowl of soup makes me feel good mentally and physically. He says soups are too yin, if I remember correctly. They are packed with nutrients though. I go with the 80/20 rule, 80% of the time to be strict, 20% of wiggle room (unless it's going to overtax me) for a bit of soup, or fruit, or whatever.
