Well, I am hopefully coming to the end of the worst detox reaction I have ever had in my life - it lasted for a month, and screwed up my liver, adrenals, bladder and blood pressure. At one point I went to A & E because I thought I was having a heart attack, they checked everything and said I was not in danger of death. I am cautiously hopeful that the worst of it is over now although I am not 100% and could not go to work yet. This was from slowwwly increasing from 150mcg to 3mg over a 3-4 month timescale and using all of the support supplements, good diet and plenty of water (and salt). It hit me all of a sudden with no warning and I've only just managed to get it under control with milk thistle after I realised my poop had gone yellow. I take my hat off to those of you who managed it, but I won't be trying it again. BTW, I do not have hashi's - I just wanted to improve my thyroid a bit. I must admit it scared the crap out of me! What seems to have happened in my case is the lymph system and liver got totally overloaded, pushed up my blood pressure and tried to dump everything through the kidneys which could not cope either. The doctor diagnosed it as a nasty virus due to the pumping in the throat, but I don't think it was as I see that seems to be a common reaction on here. Well, live and learn as they say.
