It would have saved me a whole lot of worries about the many symptoms I was getting, so I would definitely encourage you to read it all thoroughly beforehand.
Other than that there really isn't that much to it. Make sure you have plenty of good quality water near you and put trust in your body's amazing ability to heal itself.
You should also allow for enough time to refeed correctly because if you don't the fast could be all for nothing, but that is also all in the link I provided above.
