I'm so glad to have found this blog. I've had Mirena inserted six months ago and about three months ago my sciatic nerve began acting up. The insertion was pretty painful in itself. I've been researching amd researching what could be causing my back to hurt do much. My left foot is partially numb, my left leg tingles all the time, my calf muscle is losing function, and I now have to lay on the floor to relax because it's a hard surface. I made an appointment to have it removed tomorrow. I so hope it will make this pain go away. This is no way to live life! It's probably an effective birthcontrol method because you lose your sex drive and are in too much pain to even consider it.
