Re: according to the bible, reincarnation is a forgone conclusion.

Reincarnation what is reincarnation? jesus has a little bit of a problem with explaining clear doctrine to us , he will have his reasons for that . But this is literaly from the bible this is doctrine eliah is john

10And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come? 11And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things. 12But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them. 13Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.

john the baptist is flesh his spirit is eliah ,just like jesus is flesh and his spirit is the word, thats why john died soon after baptising jesus because his work on earth was done and he prepared the way in hell

Finally, proof that this John the Baptist was not Elijah reincarnated comes from John himself. In the first chapter of John the Apostle’s gospel, John the Baptist identifies himself as the messenger of Isaiah 40:3, not as the Elijah of Malachi 3:1. John the Baptist even goes so far as to specifically deny that he was Elijah (John 1:19–23).

But here we have jesus saying eliah is john"That Elias is come already" , john is not omniscience john does not know he is eliah is weak but possible . john is not eliah because his rebirth name in this life is john as we have saul=paul the word=jesus. if someone would ask paul if he was saul he can say no , and since john was dealing with pesky pharisees he would not give a straight awnser

Third, Elijah himself appears with Moses at Jesus’ transfiguration after John the Baptist’s death. This would not have happened if Elijah had changed his identity into that of John (Matthew 17:11–12).

bullcrap we are talking about a vision here that can be past present and future
