This would make the most sense and i have read up on a lot of theories including aquinas it had to do with the trinity or something , some even claim mary was not worthy to hold jesus.


When people rerurrect they still have not got a glorified body this would only happen in heaven , eliah does not get a glorified body he gets picked up and in heaven is where the magic happens


31And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

if we have glorified bodies we could just fly to heaven our self , in heaven is where the magic happens , we still need that chariot of fire


And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.




jesus could fly to the father because he was body and spirit
