That's been the consensus from what I've seen. Tiny amounts aggravate some minor annoying symptoms, whereas 100mg or more, those annoyances don't occur. Maybe small amounts "wake up" the rest of the body and it begins to painfully crave more iodine, but if you give it more at the onset, their is no craving for more. Hey, I don't know really, I make everything up as I go along. But the second sentence I think is true.
