Enteroliths is a general definition that covers a spectrum of objects found in the gut. Primary enteroliths form in the small intestines and when they get to a certain size they are unable to pass through the ileocecal valve so cause problems obstructing the flow of food matter but not completely blocking the gut. They become a concretion. Also sometimes called a bezoar which more usually indigestible matter such a seeds, and do not pass. However, there isn't a logical reason why they should get moving given the right conditions. They either pass or get stuck causing an acute event. There are also secondary enteroliths that come from the biliary system. I get primary and secondary enteroliths consisting of bile which can be up to 1 inch (2.5 cm) in diameter. They can form surprising quickly because they are in part of the gut that is extracting fluid and this desiccates the enterolith.

You problem now is to find a decent gastroenterologist.
