Persistent Phlegm and mucus

I do hope someone can make a suggestion. I've been suffering from phlegm/mucus for some months (eight) and nothing seems to be helping; acv, lemons, honey, garlic, and still in discomfort. I travelled three years ago on a bus from Toronto to New York and people were coughing/sneezing and I did not pay much attention to this; few months after mention was made of the covid virus. I do not have any coughing, nor sneezing, just phlegm and mucus, what else could I try??
